Freedom Festival Parade
We continued our tradition of going to the 4th of July parade in provo this year. Becuase the 4th was on a sunday, provo did the parade on the 5th, but it was awesome. We woke up early and got all of us ready in our red, white and blue clothes that I had saved for this day. I had made a special bow for liesl that was so much fun to make. We left around 8am and drove straight to provo were we saw the hot air balloons in the air that they have up every year the morning of the parade. That was fun for the kids to see. We got to the place were we park the car and then walked over to Center street to find the place we would park our chairs. There were a lot of people there but we managed to find a perfest spot for us. The parade was great. Hans especially liked the motocycle cops who come out and do their little tricks on their bikes. We saw a lot of different floats but the best was the BYU float. There were a lot of war veterans in the parade and it was great to honor them. It really gave me a great respect for those that go and serve our country. After the fun parade, we had a wonderful BBQ with my sister and her family. I love going to their house, becuase it is so peaceful and the kids love to be there. The day was great and the best part is that my children came straight home and crashed and I left will a full tummy.
