Spanish Fork Retirement of the Flag Ceremony
Today we went down to Spanish Fork, Utah and met up with Lito and Lita Acosta for a Retirement of the Flag Ceremony. It was hot, but a lot of fun and something that I wanted the kids to learn about. It definitely was a good learning experience for Hans, he was the only one that really paid attention. First they retired a huge flag and then they had all the scouts form lines with other flags to burn. It was so cool to see.

Lehi Roundup Cattle Drive Parade
I had heard that during Lehi City days, they city would have a cattle drive on main street. I had never seen anything like that before so we took the kids. They loved seeing the parade and also the cattle. I must say that is was definitely a fun experience and I hope that my kids will never forget it.

Splash Pad and Lake fun
Highland city has a splash pad that is probably the best thing any one could have especially on a hot day. It is free and fun. We took the kids to it today and they had so much fun. It is very relaxing because we can sit and watch them as they attempt to run through the water. After the splash pad we took the kids to Manila lake in Pleasant Grove where they have a lake with a beach area. It was so much fun and Gabi had fun in the sand

Barratt Elementary Field Day
| Hans and his class mates in front of their flag |
| Hans, KC and Gunner holding the flag |
We were able to go and see Hans at his field day. I had never been to
one so it was a fun experience for me to see. Each class was assigned a
country and so Hans had Canada. They started out just like in the
Olympics and had the classes go around with their flags. After that
every class started at a different section and did fun things like three
legged races, hurdle run, hula hoop etc. Then at the end they all got a
medal. It was definitely a fun day for the kids and it was a good
ending to the school year.
