Lehi Roundup Cattle Drive Parade

I had heard that during Lehi City days, they city would have a cattle drive on main street.  I had never seen anything like that before so we took the kids.  They loved seeing the parade and also the cattle.  I must say that is was definitely a fun experience and I hope that my kids will never forget it.

Splash Pad and Lake fun

Highland city has a splash pad that is probably the best thing any one could have especially on a hot day.  It is free and fun.  We took the kids to it today and they had so much fun.  It is very relaxing because we can sit and watch them as they attempt to run through the water.  After the splash pad we took the kids to Manila lake in Pleasant Grove where they have a lake with a beach area.  It was so much fun and Gabi had fun in the sand

Happy Father's Day!

Today we celebrated Father's Day.  Paul had to work, so we celebrated it after he got home.  Here is a picture of the gift we gave daddy.  He really loved it and so did we, because we all ended up benefiting from it.

Barratt Elementary Field Day

We were able to go and see Hans at his field day.  I had never been to one so it was a fun experience for me to see.  Each class was assigned a country and so Hans had Canada.  They started out just like in the Olympics and had the classes go around with their flags.  After that every class started at a different section and did fun things like three legged races, hurdle run, hula hoop etc.  Then at the end they all got a medal.  It was definitely a fun day for the kids and it was a good ending to the school year.
The class walked around to show off the flag for the opening ceremony

After lunch we laid down and rested for a while
Today was a good day. We went to church where they gave all the women some beautiful necklaces.  After that we met up with mom and dad and went up to Bita's, my grandmothers graveside in Salt Lake City to take some flowers and have a picnic.  It was so relaxing and fun.  After spending sometime there, we went and visited Paul's mother and father.  The day was great, but the best part of the day was that I found out that I was pregnant with our fourth chili.  We are very excited and nervous.

Happy 6th Birthday Hans

6 years ago today I was delivering our first child.  I can't believe he is 6 now, it seems like yesturday I was becoming a mother for the first time.  Today we celebrated Hans birthday with a party.  Those that were at the party were Lito, Lita, Grandma, Grandpa Otte, Tia Yvonne, Yessenia, Marcus, Toby, Tommy and baby Micah.  It was so much fun, we opened gifts, then we ate cake and ice cream, and then we had a pinata.  We had opened some of Hans gifts in the morning and he was so excited for that. Thanks to Natalie and Reed Woll we got the idea of the angry bird cake.  That was so much fun to make.  Some of the things Hans got were, a fishing pole, books, Captain America toy, superman/batman cape, water bottle, bug catcher stuff, frisbee, nerf football, basketball hoop and some other small toys.  We even managed to have a water fight between Lito, Lita, me and the grandchildren.  It was a wonderful day and it was great to spend time together as a family.

Soccer season over

Today was Hans last game playing soccer.  I have been so proud of him for trying something new, making 3 goals this season, and enjoying it.  It has been wonderful for Paul and I to see Hans learn the game and to see him enjoy it.  I enjoyed being a soccer mom, and Paul enjoyed being an Assistant Coach.
