Father and sons campout

This was the first time that Paul was able to go and take Hans to the Father and Son's campout.  They left friday night the 4th of May and camped out in a tent and came home the next day.  This was Hans' first time in a tent and I wasn't quite sure how he would do, but all I could hear was how much fun he had.  While the guys were out that night, the girls and I put some mattresses in the living room and built a tent.  It was fun, but I did miss the boys.

Today we went to support mom while she was walking the 5k in Pleasant Grove, UT.  What a fun event and what an experience.  I am so proud that she did it.  Yes she was having problems with her knee but everyone helped her to the finish line that were in her group.  It really showed me how much people do care about one another. 

Hope of America 2012

Tonight Paul and I were invited to see Yessenia my niece at the Hope of America at the Marriott Center at BYU in Provo.  It was so much fun to spend time with mom, dad, Yvonne and Paul.  It was a wonderful performance done by the 5th graders.  I really left there feeling so proud to be an American and for all the freedoms that I have.  I am so glad that periodically there are reminders to keep me humble.  After the performance we went to the creamery for some good old ice cream.  It was great being back at BYU where Paul and I graduated from college. 

Spring Break 2012

Paul had a couple of days off for spring break so we decided to go on some hikes.  We have never really done it as a family, but we decided to do it and I am so glad.  The first trip we made was on 4/10/2012 up Dry Canyon in Lindon Utah.  It was a pretty long and hard hike but the kids did a wonderful job walking it.  The second trip we did was on 4/11/2012 up Battle Creek Canyon and that was so beautiful.  We ended up seeing a beautiful waterfall and we even saw a baby rattlesnake.  I am so glad that we did these hikes, it was fun to teach the kids about nature and just to breathe in the fresh air. 

Happy Easter

Easter 2012 was such a great day for us.  We started out by going to church in the morning and the kids were all dressed up in their easter outfits.  Then we came home and had dinner with Lito and Lita which the kids loved becuase they could spend sometime with them.  To end the day we had an easter egg hunt with my sister and her kids.  I so love holidays, becuase family can get together and have fun.

Decorating Easter Eggs

Today we decorated easter eggs with the kids so that we could have them ready for easter.  I love doing this with them and seeing how creative they can get when coloring the eggs.  I am so grateful for these thimes that we can do things together as a family. 

Han's first soccer game

Hans played his first soccer game today and it was so much fun to see him.  He really was enjoying running after the ball and learning more about the game.
