5 months pregnant

Well, I am half way through my pregnancy.  It really has gone by fast.  I have been enjoying this second trimester better than the first.  I have had enough energy to talk walks with my kids, do housework, and I even want to go camping.  I definatly feel better with this pregnancy than I did with my last two.  We are getting really excited and feel blest that everything looks great.  We have had the ultrasound and were able to see our little girl.  Everything looks great!

It's A Girl

June 16th was a great day for our family.  Paul and I went to get our ultrasound and had a big suprise.  We have been thinking that this baby was a boy most of the time, but we just found out it was a girl.  We are so excited to get another girl and the kids are too.  Liesl will have a little buddy and Hans will enjoy being the big brother to these girls.  I guess in this Otte family the girls will out number the boys.

Art City Days

This morning we woke up really early and had the opportunity to help clean the church building we attend.  I really love doing this especially with the kids becuase we can teach them a lot.  Not only do they help out with vacuuming or picking up trash, they see how important it is to make sure the building is clean before church the next day.  The cleaning didn't take very long, but right after that we went home and got some chairs and waited for the springville parade.  I love this parade, it is big and the best part about it is that it is really close to the house, so we don't have to worry about traffic afterwards.  We saw a lot of fun floats and the kids got a lot of candy which made them really happy.  After the fun parade, we decided to take a drive up a canyon that is in mapleton.  It was a great drive, and on the way back down, we saw a deer.  It was great.  The kids were excited and we were able to stop on the road for a while.  The deer just stood there and then ran up the hill but was still visible to us.  It was so beautiful.  I  love how we can go up canyons and see different things and deer.  They must be used to it, becuase this one didn't run away, it stood around looking at us.  We finally got down the canyon and took the kids to the springville carnival.  We had taken Hans last year so he was excited becuase he remembered the rides.  I was excited becuase they had carnival food.  Hans wend on a roller coaster and then sent time on rides with liesl.  It was fun to watch them have fun.  We ended the night sitting by springville highschool around 10pm to watch the fireworks display.  We definatly had a fun filled day and now am ready for bed.

Art City Days Childrens Fair

Today was a fun day for the kids and I.  Paul had to go to work so I decided to venture out and take the kids to a Childrens Fair in Springville, UT.  It definatly was an adventure.  There were so many people there, I was trying really hard to make sure I came with two kids and left with two kids.  The grassy area by the springville museum was covered with a lot of different booths.  In those different booths they had crafts for the kids to do.  It was a blast.   There was coloring, face painting, making cards, paper mache, making kites and many more things.  Everything was free, so the kids got to do a lot of fun things.  By the time we left, I was tired and I think the kids were worn out, but they learned to do a lot of things.  I am so excited that I live in a town that does things like this.  One becuase my children learned a lot, but also it is another way I can get my children tired, so they come home and nap.  ;)

Thanksgiving Point Dinosaur Museum

Today was a fun day.  Paul was off from work all day so we decided to take the kids to Thanksgiving point and see their Dinosaur Museum.  We have been there before, but everytime we go it seems like the first time.  Hans and Liesl love seeing the Dinosaurs but their favorite part is in the area that they can play in the water and sand.  For those that haven't been there is a designated area where they can use sand and water to play with plastic trees and dinosaurs.  Then they can go into this area where they can excavate and find the bones of the dinosaurs.  It is great.   It is a good learning experience for the kids, but it also gets their energy out when they play.

Happy Birthday Hans!

Happy Bithday Hans!  Wow, I have a 4 year old, I cannot believe it.  We celebrated his birthday with his cousins and friends from the sunbeam class.  We all went to a park here in Springville, Ut and had cupcakes, pizza and soda.  It was a great place to have the party, becuase the adults could visit while the kids enjoyed the playground.  The people that came were, Marcus, Toby and Tommy Burgos (Cousins), Maren and Dylan Christensen, Taylor and Emma Jacobsen, Katie Harris., and his sister Liesl.  We had a blast.  Hans got a lot of fun things that he definatly will use.  What a great day.

Ashley's Baptism

What a wonderful experience to have gone to a baptism for a niece.  We went to Las Vegas to see Ashley Acosta get baptized.  We got there after an eventful trip with two little kids and enjoyed the time just relaxing and eating.  Ashley had a lot of family there to see her take one of the most important steps in her life.  The whole trip was a great little vacation from home.
