Art City Days Childrens Fair

Today was a fun day for the kids and I.  Paul had to go to work so I decided to venture out and take the kids to a Childrens Fair in Springville, UT.  It definatly was an adventure.  There were so many people there, I was trying really hard to make sure I came with two kids and left with two kids.  The grassy area by the springville museum was covered with a lot of different booths.  In those different booths they had crafts for the kids to do.  It was a blast.   There was coloring, face painting, making cards, paper mache, making kites and many more things.  Everything was free, so the kids got to do a lot of fun things.  By the time we left, I was tired and I think the kids were worn out, but they learned to do a lot of things.  I am so excited that I live in a town that does things like this.  One becuase my children learned a lot, but also it is another way I can get my children tired, so they come home and nap.  ;)

Thanksgiving Point Dinosaur Museum

Today was a fun day.  Paul was off from work all day so we decided to take the kids to Thanksgiving point and see their Dinosaur Museum.  We have been there before, but everytime we go it seems like the first time.  Hans and Liesl love seeing the Dinosaurs but their favorite part is in the area that they can play in the water and sand.  For those that haven't been there is a designated area where they can use sand and water to play with plastic trees and dinosaurs.  Then they can go into this area where they can excavate and find the bones of the dinosaurs.  It is great.   It is a good learning experience for the kids, but it also gets their energy out when they play.

Happy Birthday Hans!

Happy Bithday Hans!  Wow, I have a 4 year old, I cannot believe it.  We celebrated his birthday with his cousins and friends from the sunbeam class.  We all went to a park here in Springville, Ut and had cupcakes, pizza and soda.  It was a great place to have the party, becuase the adults could visit while the kids enjoyed the playground.  The people that came were, Marcus, Toby and Tommy Burgos (Cousins), Maren and Dylan Christensen, Taylor and Emma Jacobsen, Katie Harris., and his sister Liesl.  We had a blast.  Hans got a lot of fun things that he definatly will use.  What a great day.

Ashley's Baptism

What a wonderful experience to have gone to a baptism for a niece.  We went to Las Vegas to see Ashley Acosta get baptized.  We got there after an eventful trip with two little kids and enjoyed the time just relaxing and eating.  Ashley had a lot of family there to see her take one of the most important steps in her life.  The whole trip was a great little vacation from home.

Baby #3

Well on Feb. 24th of 2010 Paul and I found out that we are going to have baby number 3.  We are very excited but at the same time very scared.  This pregnancy has been so different from the last two.  I was feeling so good for the first month and then bam, the sickness hit.  I am not quite sure why I keep putting myself through this, but I know that in the end it will all be worth it.  My days have been so long becuase I have been so sick, but luckily I can rest in the mornings becuase Paul is around to help.  We feel so blessed and cannot wait to document this journey.

True Friends

You know that you have true friends when you can get together after not seening each other for more than a year and pick up where you left off.  Tonight was the funnest night I have had in a long time.  All we did was catch up and eat dinner.  Our children played wonderfully if that is even a word.  Things were like normal.  That is what I call true friendship.  I am so glad there are those kind of people in our life.  What a good end to a wonderful day.  If you don't have friends like that, I urge everyone to find them.

I Am Not A Reader Challenge

For those of you who know me quite well, you know that I do not like to read.  The only book that I will read is the Book of Mormon.  But this year I have decided to take on the challenge of reading as many books as I can possibly read.  This will require me to make time, but who knows, maybe I will feel a little bit more relaxed.  As I do this I will post the book that I am reading and my thoughts.  Hopefully I will learn a lot of things that I can share.  Wish me luck!
